AIA

Alan Polinsky is head of the IT group at FXCollaborative. Alan has been engaged in the field of computer graphics, computer aided design, and information technology for over 25 years. He has conducted research on interactive modeling techniques, rendering, and design systems; implemented a variety of hardware and software applications in a design and production environment; and managed large-scale networked systems.

Alan received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University in 1984. A research fellowship at Cornell University's Program of Computer Graphics from 1984 to 1986 culminated in a thesis entitled “A Unified Interactive Geometric Modeling System for Simulating Highly Complex Environments.” He received a Master of Science in Computer Graphics in 1986 for this work. During his fellowship, Alan also served as a Teaching Assistant for a variety of undergraduate architecture courses. His research in computer graphics has been published in several journals, including Architectural Record (September 1984), Knowledge Engineering and Computer Modelling in CAD (December 1986), and Metropolis (March 2002).
