Kate Lee

I believe in the power of design in its beauty and utility.
Kate is an intermediate architect with a diverse background spanning master planning, zoning, mixed-use developments, adaptive reuse, and residential design. With experience working across different scales and project types, she brings a versatile and collaborative approach to her work.

Growing up in Seoul, Kate witnessed one of the city's largest redevelopment projects firsthand. The transformation of her neighborhood, which aimed to relocate a historic refugee settlement and create a modern business district, sparked her interest in architecture and its power to shape communities. She was drawn to the field by a desire to create meaningful, context-driven spaces that protect what is essential to the identity of a place and its residents.

Kate is fascinated by the intersection of rationalism and regional contextualism in design. She values collaboration, versatility, and the interplay between aesthetic and functional design. Outside of architecture, Kate enjoys weightlifting, yoga, cycling, and attending classical and jazz concerts.
