The Mayor's initiative addresses the urgency of the housing crisis by advancing zoning changes and site disposition to stimulate the creation of 100,000 new homes for New Yorkers.
We provided zoning and strategy recommendations, as well as graphic and digital design, for the City of Yes for Housing Opportunities 2023 zoning proposal. This initiative, spearheaded by New York City Mayor Eric Adams, the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) and the Department of City Planning, aims to address the City's severe housing shortage through policy and partnership with the private sector to create 100,000 homes within a decade. Working with the City, we developed visualizations and an interactive website that illustrate a set of far-ranging, fair-minded, and commonsense zoning reforms. In collaboration with BJH Advisors, we analyzed the residential development potential for a portfolio of publicly controlled sites throughout the five boroughs.
