Jonathan is a designer at FXCollaborative with expertise in computational tool sets, such as Grasshopper, GIS, and BIM. He is passionate about integrating computational workflows into architectural practice and has leveraged this approach on residential and commercial spaces. Jonathan thrives in the conceptual design phase, bringing creativity to the team's iterations and experimentations, as well as the construction administration phase, where he appreciates seeing projects transform from Revit stacks to tangible results.
A lifelong gamer, Jonathan was inspired by worldbuilding and design incorporated throughout the graphics of his favorite videogames. This led him to create his own conceptual sketches and ultimately to study architecture. He is inspired by projects that address large-scale issues, from the speculative works of the environmentalist movement to community-focused projects in the Philippines, where he travels to visit family.
Jonathan has volunteered alongside organizations such as the Van Alen Institute and Clarkson University's Rise High Program to help design community spaces and introduce high school students to architectural practices. He is an advocate for adaptive reuse and the restoration of existing urban spaces.
