Melanie Yaris

Melanie Yaris is FXCollaborative's Marketing and Communications Manager. She guides the firm's internal and external communications efforts and leads marketing pursuits. Her communications work is centered around amplifying FXCollaborative's projects, initiatives, and firmwide brand through avenues such as design award submissions, thought leadership pieces, press, industry events, and social media. Melanie also produces architecture 5 10 20, a podcast hosted by Managing Partner Guy Geier that explores the future of the built environment.

Melanie has a passion for writing and enjoys any opportunity to research and collaborate on in-depth writing pieces. Her greatest strength is storytelling through writing, and she gets excited about framing FXCollaborative's initiatives for different audiences. Her favorite part of the proposal process are the early strategy sessions.

To foster her passion for writing, Melanie double majored in English and Art History at Washington University in St. Louis. She feels lucky to have found this position at FXCollaborative that allows her to utilize her passions and skills daily. Within the architectural field, Melanie is particularly fascinated by adaptive reuse. The inherent sustainability benefits of reusing an existing structure, that has a unique history, is of great interest to her. Melanie is a LEED Green Associate, and hopes to see issues like equity and sustainability continue to be prioritized within the industry.
