Jodie is an architect and project manager with over seven years of experience specializing in higher education and hospitality typologies including new construction, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation projects. Jodie designs with a sense of the end user and facilitates project delivery from document production to the direction of project schedules. She places a high priority on fostering productive, positive relationships between the client, users, design team, and consultants, and aims to get everyone across the finish line together with an admirable finished product.
Jodie grew up appreciating a mix of arts and sciences and is drawn to creative outlets with technical bases such as woodworking and drafting. This mix of interests and skills stems from her parents, who commanded full-time careers as a surgeon and chemical microbiologist while supporting eight kids and a 400-acre “hobby” farm. Following an undergraduate degree in Architecture from Miami University in Ohio, she earned her master's degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design and gained professional experience in Georgia before transitioning to New York.
A list-maker who thrives in collaborative team environments, Jodie enjoys working with a range of perspectives and maintaining open dialogues with clients and the project team. She gravitates to the technical aspects of the design process and places a high value on efficiency and getting things done well and on time. When called for, Jodie's adaptable, open personality allows her to inject boisterous energy or bring organization and focus to projects.
