Martin Scott

RIBA, LEED GA
Associate

Humankind forever strives for perfection, while nature creates it effortlessly. Nature is something we should always work in harmony with and look to for inspiration, influence, and guidance.
Martin is an architect with over eight years of experience on hospitality, exhibition, educational, commercial, residential, and planning projects, with significant experience throughout all phases of work—from conception to construction completion—and on projects of various scales. He possesses a strong appreciation for nature and diversity, understanding both to be integrally tied to the success of architecture. He is also a proponent of working across all scales in the development of all projects, to ensure that the overall concept and the finest of details are all considered equally.

Hailing from rural Tasmania, Martin was raised on a country farm among nature, and considers his roots to be forever tied to that place. While attending design school in Italy as a teenager, he developed his passion for architecture, design, art, and photography. He continues to utilize and develop his skills in hand drawing, putting pencil to paper throughout the entire design process. Martin earned his Bachelor of Design in Architecture and Master of Architecture from Deakin University in Australia, and is a registered architect in the United Kingdom.

Martin's connection to the natural world is displayed in his understanding of nature's significance in architecture as he designs with respect to the surrounding context, what was there before, and what ties it to the site. His international background and work on four continents allows him to recognize the role that culture and diversity play in influencing architecture across different regions and disciplines, which results in a richer, continuously-evolving architecture.
