Volunteering for the 2019 AIANY Day of Service

FXCollaborative led a project team alongside volunteers from Perkins Eastman, NBBJ, and SGVA for AIA New York's Day of Service 2019. Partnered with Rebuilding Together NYC, we picked up our paintbrushes and climbed scaffolding towers to paint and touch up the gymnasium, offices, and after-school program classrooms at the Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center, helping to transform the community center into a space worthy of its community.
The AIA New York Day of Service is an initiative launched during last year's AIA Conference on Architecture, which encourages architects to make a difference at the local level by partnering with non-profit organizations to upgrade their existing facilities. Rebuilding Together NYC is a nonprofit that helps to repair homes, revitalize communities, and rebuild lives.
