Under the NYC Green Schools Guide and Rating System, which is used to guide the sustainable design, construction, and operation of schools throughout the boroughs, FXCollaborative participated in an initial design and preliminary concept study for the new Linden Place High School in Flushing, Queens. Combining two high schools with 525 students each, the new 150,000 square foot building provides large, shared program spaces such as a library, a gymnasium, and a café, in addition to standard classroom and administrative spaces.
