Faced with two adjacent parcels in the King Abdullah Financial District, we met the challenge by developing them as a combined lot—anchored by two mixed-use towers that are connected by an elevated pedestrian skywalk. Each tower contains both office and residential space, with residential units comprised mostly of one- and two- bedroom layouts. Each façade is precisely adjusted to respond to its environment, while maintaining continuity with the overall site. At street level, a retail podium bridges a shared landscaped plaza, connecting the towers and multi-use public spaces. Three more levels of retail and public spaces flank the site's Eastern edge, while a second bridge over the wadi connects the site to a district-wide network of pedestrian walkways.
