The laboratory facility celebrates multidisciplinary "making" with new classrooms, workshops, meeting and collaboration spaces, and amenities.
We worked with the ECFS Administration and the Fieldston Lower School faculty and staff to imagine a new Adler Lab facility that inspires designing, innovating, creating, tinkering, cooking, and collaborating. The workshop space facilitates "making" of different kinds, and allows for the cross fertilization of subjects and integrated study including woodshop, art, social studies, and culinary arts. The scope of work included the renovation and expansion of the existing fourth floor to create the new Adler Lab. The new space includes classrooms and workshops, meeting and collaboration spaces, kitchenettes, a kiln room, materials storage spaces, faculty workspace, and a tech office.
