Emau is an architectural designer, providing early-stage concept and design for high-rise residential and commercial buildings. He works with clients and his internal teams to interpret ideas and translate them into the digital realm, bringing his own insights. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, he often asks questions and looks at things from multiple angles, seeking to understand the constraints and why design decisions are made, to provide cohesive design solutions that are sensible and innovative.
Growing up in Texas, Emau was fascinated by the old churches he would frequently see, especially how massive the interior spaces felt. He chose to study Environmental Design at Texas A&M to gain a holistic understanding of both the conceptual and technical sides of architecture. Loving the expressive side of design and wanting to learn more about theory and larger concepts, he chose to attend Yale University for his Master of Architecture.
Emau is passionate about embracing technology and taking advantage of the opportunities it offers. From new construction delivery methods to improved sustainability modeling tools, he focuses on looking for ways to lessen the impact buildings have on our environment.
