We raised
over $4,500 for
Covenant House to help end youth homelessness! Thank you to everyone who supported and participated in this fundraiser, and we hope you continue to join us in being part of the solution, raising awareness about the youth homelessness crisis, and supporting organizations such as Covenant House.
This year marks FXCollaborative's fourth year participating in the Covenant House Sleep Out to raise funds for Covenant House. On March 19, we gave up our beds in solidarity with the 4.2 million young people who experience homelessness each year. We are proud to support Covenant House, which is open 24/7 for youth people seeking safe shelter, warm meals, education opportunities, job training, medical care, mental health and substance use counseling, and legal aid.
Some reflections on the 2021 Covenant House Sleep Out from FXCollaborative participants:
"Participating in the Covenant House's Virtual Sleep Out as a first-timer was an incredible opportunity to hear about the direct impact our fundraising has on Covenant House's mission. It is more than just providing shelter; the support and unconditional love Covenant House is giving to young people, specifically LGBTQ+ youth who experience homelessness at a higher rate than the general population, is truly a lifeline to our most vulnerable."—Chelsea Crisafulli
"This was my third time participating in the Sleep Out, and every time I do it, I come out more hopeful for the world that we live in. The community that Covenant House has built, is one of support, encouragement, and compassion and is a symbol of what we can accomplish when we work together."—Sara Ngan
"Having worked on the new Covenant House New York facility for over a year now, it can be easy to get lost in the practicalities of the design and construction process and lose sight of just how impactful this organization is to the end user: youth experiencing homelessness. Friday evening's Sleep Out was the exact reminder I needed that even when I'm grappling with my own anxiousness and stress, I have a home. I have a job. I have my health. And not everyone can say that always, but even more so in a pandemic. I found myself sitting in gratitude listening to each and every person speak that evening. I am so glad this project has brought this organization to my attention and awakened me to Covenant House's incredible mission, exceptional people, and extraordinary hearts; Friday night was the embodiment of all of those things."—Jodie Quinter
