The historic buildings of the former Chelsea light manufacturing district inspired the proportioning of the Indigo, a new 13-story luxury condominium development. A zinc screen wall spans the base of the building and overlays an undulating aluminum window-wall that corresponds to the rhythm of the living spaces and bedrooms of the units within. A metal panel and glass–clad volume projects at the top of the building as the dormer, housing the largest of the living spaces, and reveals itself below at the entrance in the form of a large skylight set within the entry canopy.
