CUNY Lehman College Multimedia Center

At CUNY Lehman College, an outdated multimedia center located beneath a concrete plaza needed an injection of light and purpose: to become a state-of-the-art teaching, learning, and production facility, open to collaboration and community. Our design doubled the footprint of the two-story basement space to 22,000squarefeet, by inserting an intermediate floor, along with a sky bridge to connect the separate wings of the circular-shaped building. Translucent pavers and a generous skylight flood the atrium with natural light, while a new glass structure provides a more welcoming entry.
