The distinctive design of this station signals a new era of connectivity for the communities of New Jersey's Gold Coast.
As part of the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Transit System, the new Hoboken Light Rail Station links the commuter system of trains, PATH, and ferries. Located along the waterfront in the heart of historic Hoboken, the new station's modern form contrasts its context.

A tensile-supported copper canopy provides covered access from a bridge to the platforms, which are protected from wind by continuous curved glass block screens. To recapture the waterfront for public use, the station's site plan incorporates a pedestrian plaza with open-air seating and recreational space.
