The first major project completed under Syracuse University's campus plan is a ground-up 165,000-square-foot building housing the Whitman School of Management. Accommodating 1,400 students, the building contain classrooms, auditoria, meeting space, and dedicated distance learning facilities and executive learning space. A glazed central circulation corridor with grand stair serves as the focal point of the design and allows daylight to penetrate all interior spaces. Sustainable technologies are integrated throughout, including a building management system, under-floor air distribution, and radiant heating and cooling. The completed project serves as a marketing tool for the School and attracts potential students.
