FXCollaborative created a master plan for 125 hectares of mixed-use development in the Dubai Waterfront District. A total of 2,500,000 square meters of program space is distributed throughout three site sections: a high-density commercial core, a medium-density island with retail, institutional, and residential uses, and a low-density development that responds to the scale of adjacent single family homes. Connected by water canals and public transportation, these three sections establish a dynamic urban center. FXCollaborative also wrote sustainable guidelines to lay the groundwork for an environmentally-responsible final development.
