FXCollaborative transformed 315 Hudson Street into a Class A office building. Our design work comprised a new Hudson Street entrance lobby, main passenger and service elevator cabs, all new mechanical systems, window replacement, and common floor restrooms; it culminated in a rooftop addition and outdoor terrace.

Located in the Hudson Square neighborhood of Lower Manhattan, 315 Hudson is an assemblage of four separate buildings combined in the late 1960s to form a 10-story office building. The amassed office floor plates are each 40,000 square feet. Critical to the success of the design of the lobby are two structural column transfers. With a material palette of limestone, reclaimed Douglas fir wood, low-iron glass, painted architectural steel, and terracotta tiles, tenants and visitors to the building will experience a gracious, light-filled lobby. In keeping with the Jack Resnick & Sons tradition of displaying original artwork in their buildings, FXCollaborative has incorporated an LED artwork installation by artist Jason Krugman.

The rooftop addition adds an additional 5,000 square feet of rentable space, a 3,000-square-foot event space, and a 4,000-square-foot green roof amenity space.
