The new campus creates a forward-thinking approach to healthcare education, which vastly improves communication and strengthens patient care.
The Interprofessional Health Sciences Campus supports physician, nursing, and allied health education for the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. The complex is the adaptive reuse of an existing laboratory building that serves as anchor tenant of a 119-acre property in northern New Jersey.

The project planning approach capitalized on the existing building fabric as much as possible while strategically building out key interprofessional educational space on the first three floors; the remaining floors continue to serve as laboratory research space. A multi-modal virtual healthcare training center contains clinical skills, mannequin simulation, physiology labs, occupational therapy labs, an activities of daily living lab, nursing skills, and health assessment bed labs. Gross anatomy and prosection labs and classroom space are located in an annex building, which connects via a bridge link to the main building. FXCollaborative with CO Architects provided programming, full architectural, and interior design services.
