The tower connects occupants to the surrounding landscape through site-specific construction and biophilic design elements.
In Fuzhou's crowded financial district along the Mianjing River, a new corporate building had to provide flexible office space while advancing China's increasing commitment to environmental responsibility. Responding to both its surrounding landscape and solar orientation, the 29-story tower is a study in site-specific construction.

The exterior glass cladding bows inward, an intentional response to the adjacent river bend. The unique side core design features a glass-enclosed stair, encouraging circulation and helping maintain a continuous relationship with the outside surroundings. Plant life—including a garden pavilion lobby, two-story indoor/outdoor greenspaces at every office level, and a generous rooftop garden—helps foster deeper connections between the building's occupants and the natural environment.
