Through a combination of measures intrinsic to the design and active systems strategies, projections indicate the building will use 35% less energy and 60% less water than current Class-A practices.
A new headquarters for a prestigious bank needed a strong identity—while serving as a model of sustainability. Taking cues from the local architecture and landscape for inspiration we designed an organic, sail-like form that echoes the nearby Cerro de la Silla and Cerro las Mitras mountains. The 40-story tower's terraced garden facades offers vegetation on all the upper levels, culminating in a sky forest with majestic views. The facades also mitigate solar gain to the tower, a significant climatic condition of the site.
