The master plan reimagines an office park into a cohesive and vibrant mixed-use neighborhood with an emphasis on sustainability and public transit.
We developed a master plan to transform an office park area into an exciting mixed-use community, catalyzed by the opening of a new station on the Silver Line extension of the Washington, DC Metro. We envisioned the site as a true urban neighborhood with a mix of residential, commercial, and retail uses. Our plan uses an open space network to create linkages within the development and to the metro station. A signature urban park at the heart of the development supports future office towers, a hotel, residences, and retail. With an emphasis on sustainability, the plan incorporates existing structures, proposes the adaptive reuse of others, and calls for a minimum LEED certification level for all new buildings.
