Carol loves the story of making architecture—the space that it creates and how it influences the people that experience it. Skilled in both architecture and interiors, she focuses on bridging the two into a holistic design. Using the building architecture and its context to develop a narrative for the interiors, Carol looks at the design's influences then translates that concept into a palette for finishes and materials.
With a passion for fine arts, Carol went Cornell University to study illustration. Visiting Boston's Back Bay neighborhood inspired her to pursue architecture, and even self-publish her own book set in the neighborhood. Drawing is a great tool and she feels very lucky that she has the skill to use pen and paper first, then integrate her sketches with technology to validate the design.
Carol has over 20 years of architecture and urban design experience with particular expertise in multi-family and high-rise residential buildings, and building envelope systems. What excites her most is the “wow” in architectural design. She believes it's really about the story-telling and creating a strong narrative supported by sketches, renderings, and videos to bring reality to metaphorical concepts.
