What New York Could Build Next: Design, Domesticity, and Urban Life brings together architects, developers, and urban thinkers for an evening conversation on the future of housing in New York City. Using the launch of Collective Living and the Architectural Imaginary by Felipe Correa, Anthony Averbeck, and Devin Dobrowolski as a point of departure, the discussion will examine what global housing history can teach us about what is spatially, civically, and culturally possible beyond the standard development model, and how this applies to New York City. The evening will thread together presentations from architectural research, design practice, and real estate development, followed by a conversation and questions from the audience. Copies of Collective Living and the Architectural Imaginary will be available for purchase at the event. Book sales provided by Head Hi.
