Woodbine Street Block Association Garden Volunteer Day
FXCollaborative participated in a meaningful, hands-on volunteer day at the Woodbine Street Block Association Garden. We worked with Nontraditional Employment for Women, the Carpenters Union, and the local community to construct three new raised planter beds, replacing the existing ones that had fallen into disarray. It was special to hear from the community gardeners about how this effort, originally proposed as part of our AIA Day of Service Garden Masterplan in 2020, brought a renewed sense of excitement to the garden, a cherished and vital asset to the community.
