Monique Dorroh: A NOMA Foundation Fellowship Success Story

FXCollaborative
FXCollaborative is pleased to announce that Monique Dorroh, who joined FXCollaborative as an intern in summer 2020 as a National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA) Foundation Fellowship recipient, has joined the firm as a full-time employee.

As a member of Pennsylvania State University's NOMAS chapter (National Organization of Minority Architecture Students)—a student branch of NOMA—Monique was selected in 2020 for the inaugural NOMA Foundation Fellowship (FPP). "The organization is very interested in connecting diverse groups of people and getting students out—especially students of color—into the professional world. It's been a really great organization to connect me outwardly and inwardly to professionals in the field as well as the history of Architects of color who came before me." As part of the Fellowship, Monique was paired with FXCollaborative for a summer internship, which the firm extended through the fall and spring. Following her May 2021 graduation with a Master of Architecture, Monique officially joined FXCollaborative as a full-time employee. "I'm so grateful and honored to find a firm that highlights diversity and the positive impacts of having a diverse office culture. I truly feel welcome to the team."

FXCollaborative is a proud supporter of NOMA and we have continued our partnership with NOMA Foundation Fellowship by welcoming Alexander Thomas, of NOMA's 2021 class of Foundation Fellows, as a summer 2021 intern. Learn more about the Foundation Fellowship program here.
