We are pleased to announce the promotions of 24 Principals, Senior Associates, and Associates.

"We have established a momentum and are furthering our reputation as a firm that's forward-thinking and imaginative, producing work that solves complex challenges through a focused yet open-minded design process," says Guy Geier, Managing Partner of FXCollaborative. "And with that momentum, we are pleased to recognize the contributions of our newest Principals, Senior Associates, and Associates."

PRINCIPALS

Alex Leung, AIA, LEED AP, CPHD has worked for FXCollaborative for over 20 years and is Technical Design Director for the firm's Cultural/Educational Studio and project leader for the Columbia University Business School. He possesses an astute aesthetic skill for interpreting and implementing design intent throughout the development of each project as well as overseeing the management of critical projects.

Mark Nusbaum, AIA, LEED AP joined FXCollaborative in 2006 and is a Technical Design Director and Construction Administration Leader. He is a versatile architect with the highest level of technical experience working on a wide range of project types and extensive involvement during construction administration. Notable projects include Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall and The Juilliard School Expansion, renovations to the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, The Greenwich Lane, Hunter's Point Campus, and Amtrak Metropolitan Lounge & Offices at Moynihan Penn Station.

Joe Pikiewicz, AIA, LEED AP joined FXCollaborative in 2003 and oversees studio operations and strategies as a Studio Director. He also serves as a project architect and project manager, directing urban design efforts and mixed-use, residential, and infrastructure projects throughout the country, including residential and mixed-use projects such as 555 E Street SW and 7900 Wisconsin Avenue in the greater Washington, DC area as well as two large administrative office projects for the California Department of General Services.

Alexandra Pollock, AIA, LEED AP BD+C joined FXCollaborative in 2013 and is the firm's Director of Design Technology and provides leadership through leveraging the firm's application of technology to design and deliver projects. Working with a range of project teams, she is instrumental in the development of tools and workflows ranging from computation, analysis, and virtual reality to overall project collaboration and delivery using Building Information Modeling.

Shannon Rodriguez, LEED GA joined the firm in 2005 and is FXCollaborative's Human Resources Director. She is one of the firm's "go-to" people for direction, guidance, and mentorship, and is responsible for performance management, mentoring and training programs, employee relations, recruiting, staffing, and benefits administration.

Wendi Shafran, AIA, LEED AP BD+C joined FXCollaborative in 2016 and is a project architect and technical design specialist with extensive expertise in multi-family residential and mixed-use projects. With a focus on resolving complex design, technical, and programmatic issues, her specialty is in the creation of inspirational yet socially conscious spaces that address specific community needs while responding to the local context.

SENIOR ASSOCIATES

Ben Abelman, AICP, LEED GA joined FXCollaborative in 2014 and is an urban designer who contributes to pre-design zoning analysis and master planning on many of the firm's New York City projects, including commercial, residential, and mixed-use development sites.

Shalini Abeyaratne, AIA, LEED AP BD+C joined FXCollaborative in 2016 and fulfills roles as a project architect and project manager for major institutional projects such as the Cornell University ILR School and the United Nations International School. On each project, Shalini focuses on the spatial and functional requirements of the client while maximizing aesthetic qualities.

Teyana Chin, LEED GA joined FXCollaborative in 2004 and is the firm's Office Manager. She keeps the office running smoothly through taking part in firm initiatives, planning events, approving budgets, managing the support team, fostering a collegial work environment, and supporting the vision of firm leadership.

Bob Cuk, AIA, LEED AP joined FXCollaborative in 2008 and is involved with design of residential and mixed-use projects at all scales and coordinates his projects' complex components from design through construction. Bob has served as project architect for The Crossing at Jamaica Station, including almost 700 apartment units, since the project's early phases.

Brandon Massey, AIA, LEED GA joined FXCollaborative in 2008 and works on a diverse range of institutional project types, crafting projects from initial ideas to construction. He served as the project architect for the recently completed and critically acclaimed Statue of Liberty Museum and is currently working on the David Rockefeller Creative Arts Center in Tarrytown, NY.

Sara Ngan, AIA, LEED AP joined FXCollaborative in 2014. She is a project architect with experience on a wide range of projects who starts each new opportunity by considering the totality of people's experience—from the street, entering a building, and within each room. Sara was project architect of The Greenwich Lane, a large luxury condominium project in Greenwich Village and is currently overseeing the fit-out of FXCollaborative's new offices at 1 Willoughby Square in Brooklyn. She is also co-chair of FXWomen.

Amy Patel, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP joined FXCollaborative in 2018 and is a senior architect working on 3 Hudson Boulevard—a 1.8 million-square-foot office tower and one of the firm's largest projects. Amy fills leadership roles on large-scale design and construction projects and believes that creative solutions are best achieved through synthesizing multiple perspectives and inputs.

Kimberley Petredis, NCIDQ, LEED AP ID+C joined FXCollaborative in 2016 and is a senior interior designer who serves as project manager for high-rise residential, hospitality, commercial, and educational projects. Kim interprets client requirements and develops design concepts into functional and beautiful interiors.

Nadia Samuelson, AIA, LEED AP BD+C has worked at FXCollaborative for 10 years and is a project architect for residential high-rise buildings in Manhattan. Nadia balances her clients' budgetary goals with all elements of a project, while rigorously crafting living experiences in the city.

Tim Sudweeks, AIA, LEED AP, CPHD has worked at FXCollaborative for 11 years. He is an architect and Certified Passive House Designer who recently served as project manager for The NOMA, a 24-story mixed-use project with 55 apartment units. He contributes to the firm's proactive approach to sustainable design while crafting comfortable and affordable living environments.

ASSOCIATES

David Aboyoun joined FXCollaborative in 2015 and is the technical director of the firm's Interiors Studio, focusing on leading and reviewing the technical design of projects. He applies his talents to projects ranging from high-rise residential and workplace to hospitality, museums, and flagship stores across the country.

Miwa Fukui joined the firm in 2010 and is FXCollaborative's senior model maker. Her work is guided by an appreciation for physical production and the patient pursuit of successful architectural solutions. Working closely with the firm's design teams, Miwa creates models that feature her signature attention to detail and effectively communicate design intent to clients and the public.

Ryan Kim, AIA, LEED GA joined FXCollaborative in 2011 and is an architect focused on the firm's commercial projects. Currently working on the retrofit of 315 Hudson for a major technology client, Ryan is responsible for leading the overall design effort from pre-schematic through completion while prioritizing the client's requirements.

Nina Rivas, LEED AP BD+C joined FXCollaborative in 2018 and is passionate about design and construction and particularly adept at turning buildings on paper into buildings in reality. In addition to her role as project manager for 555 E Street SW, a mixed-use residential and hotel project in Washington DC, Nina is co-chair of FXWomen, the firm's women's advocacy group.

Cristina Rodríguez-Vázquez, LEED AP BD+C joined FXCollaborative in 2012 and is a designer and key player on many of the firm's educational and institutional projects, including Covenant House New York, multiple projects at Barnard College, an educational campus for Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah, and student housing for Bilkent University. Cristina is the sustainability leader for the Cultural/Educational Studio and founder of FXWomen.

Brian Strydom, LEED GA joined FXCollaborative in 2016 and is the firm's BIM Manager and member of the Design Technology team. Dedicated to improving the firm's use of Building Information Modeling (BIM), Brian provides training to staff and implements BIM workflows on the full range of the firm's projects.

Eric Van Der Sluys, LEED GA joined FXCollaborative in 2001 and is an accomplished designer and project manager working primarily on educational, cultural, and institutional projects, including the Columbia University Business School and Covenant House New York. He likens his role to that of a conductor, coordinating the work of the complex symphony played by the design and consultant teams.

Tracy Yuan, LEED GA joined FXCollaborative in 2013 and is an integral member of the firm's Accounting team. As Assistant Controller, Tracy works across the firm's studios to establish financial strategies, supervise client invoices, handle monthly closing, and provide training in financial tracking and reporting.
