Guy Geier, Managing Partner has been installed as the First VP/President-Elect of the American Institute of Architects New York Chapter (AIANY) for 2017. In this capacity, Guy will serve on the Boards and Executive Committees of the AIANY and the Center for Architecture, the premier cultural venue for architecture and the built environment in New York City. Previously, he served on the AIANY Executive Committee and as the VP of Public Outreach. In 2018, Guy will be inducted as the President of the AIANY Chapter.
In speaking about his new role with the AIANY Chapter and the Center for Architecture, Guy said "I am honored to be named the First VP/President-Elect of the AIANY for 2017. I am a strong advocate for the value of design, and I look forward to collaborating with the Boards and Executive Committee, and all of the organization's members to raise awareness–both locally and nationally–of architecture's role in shaping and advancing the built environment. I am also thrilled to have an active role in the American Institute of Architects National Convention, which will take place in New York City in June, 2018."
An architect and interior designer with over 36 years of experience in the design and management of corporate and institutional projects, Guy is Managing Partner of FXFOWLE, leader of the firm's Corporate and Interior Design practice, and partner-level champion for Marketing, Communications and Business Development. In addition to his role at the AIANY, Guy sits on the Advisory Boards at multiple schools of architecture and interior design across the country, and is a frequent speaker at a number of industry conferences, including TEDxTimes Square, FORTUNE's Brainstorm Green, NACORE New York, IFMA National Convention, ICFF New York, and NEOCON Chicago, among others.
