FXFOWLE Honored for Outstanding Public Service

FXFOWLE has been honored with an Outstanding Public Service Award in recognition of the firm's significant contributions to New York and its communities. The award is presented by Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP in cooperation with the New York Building Congress (NYBC) and industry partners, the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC-NY) and the American Institute of Architects New York Chapter (AIA-NY).

Volunteering time, expertise, and giving back to the community has always been at the heart of FXFOWLE's culture. The firm encourages and promotes that knowledge and experience be shared–not only within the firm, but also with professional industries and community organizations.

Some of the firm's outreach activities include:
• Mentoring students and younger architects, whether through summer internship programs or ACE Mentoring;

• Organizing volunteer activities with the Wildlife Conservation Society, New York Cares, Open House New York, Architects for Animals, and Canstruction;

• Serving on the boards of local/national organizations, and cultural and educational institutions, such as the American Institute of Architects–New York Chapter and Washington, DC Chapter, Design Trust for Public Space, Cornell University, Nontraditional Employment for Women (NEW), University of Virginia, Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitats (CTBUH), National Academy Museum & School, Storefront for Art & Architecture, Association of Real Estate Women, and Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation, among many others.

These commitments to public service bring a unique perspective and significance to FXFOWLE, and add meaning and value to the firm's culture and ethos.
