Allianz Tower, a new 40-story, Class-A commercial building in Istanbul, Turkey has achieved LEED Platinum certification. Totaling 930,000 gross square feet (83,000 gross square meters), the tower serves as the headquarters for a multinational financial services company. It features an innovative skin of perforated sunscreens, tuned to each orientation. The project received high scores in water efficiency, regional priority credits, sustainable sites and indoor environmental quality. Allianz Tower is the first high-rise in Turkey to achieve LEED Platinum certification.
