FXFOWLE Monograph: Reveal Filter Evolve Effect

FXCollaborative
We are thrilled to announce the release of our new Monograph Reveal Filter Evolve Effect. The four-volume set adheres to shared bodies of ideas, and celebrates key concepts that define our creative philosophy and design methodology. The Monograph's four terms crystallize the culture, process, and ideas that motivate our design work, from individual structures to city plans; they likewise organize the works presented in the publication.

REVEAL exposes the territory between architecture and landscape. Architecture and larger constructed systems resonate with natural systems and forms, bringing the experience of landscape to designed space.

FILTER refines the association between architecture and context. Incorporating cultural reference infuses buildings with a sense of place, and generates a close bond between the building its larger setting.

EVOLVE advances the bond between architecture and history. Reinventing historic buildings and districts engages our sense of heritage and conservation, while heightening our understanding of contemporary urban culture.

EFFECT realizes the relationship between architecture and program. The function and use of a building offer rich conceptual territory to advance institutional mission.

Published by ORO Editions, Reveal Filter Evolve Effect is co-edited by Andrea Monfried, written by Liz Campbell Kelly, and features essays from leading deans in architecture schools, including Kenneth Schwartz (Tulane School of Architecture), Kim Tanzer (University of Virginia: School of Architecture), Kent Kleinman (Cornell University: College of Architecture), and Thomas Fisher (University of Minnesota: College of Architecture).
