"FXFOWLE possesses the values that I treasure most—true responsibility for everything: starting with people, fairness, mentorship, building well, design excellence, and caring for the city and the planet at large. This is no small achievement. It's a firm to be very proud of." – Nicholas Garrison
Nicholas Garrison, AIA, LEED, is an award-winning architect with over 30 years of experience leading signature projects for colleges, universities, and private secondary schools around the world. Since joining the firm in 2009, Nicholas' design leadership—combined with a range of cultural, educational, and institutional expertise—has made him an integral part of the Cultural/Educational practice and the firm.
"We welcome Nick into the partnership," said Senior Partner Sylvia Smith, FAIA, LEED. "His creativity, intelligence, and client-centered process inspire and enrich all dimensions of our design practice."
Nicholas believes that a site-specific research culture should drive the design process, resulting in projects that are exceptional, powerful, and authentic. He is currently directing the design of several projects, including a new university campus in Nairobi, Kenya; the

Columbia University School of Nursing, New York; and a vision plan for the
