We are pleased to present
Robert Kato: Landscapes, an exhibition featuring acrylics on canvas that evoke the energy and organicism inherent in nature's colors and forms. Trained as a landscape architect, Robert Kato is inspired by the landscape, topography, maps, and gardens. He works in an improvisational and intuitive way, looking to find meaning and beauty through abstraction.
Robert Kato (b. 1956, San Francisco) is a New York City-based artist with a Bachelor of Arts in Landscape Architecture from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Art Center College of Design. Prior to devoting himself to painting, Kato worked as a commercial photographer for 25 years.
Robert Kato: Landscapes is on view in the FXFOWLE Gallery through June 23. The gallery is open to the public on weekdays, Monday-Thursday 9 AM to 5 PM, and Friday 9 AM to 3 PM.
