RUN for the WILD - Save Animals!

FXCollaborative
When did you last encounter wildlife? How long since you visited a zoo? You can do both by joining us on Saturday, April 30 at the Wildlife Conservation Society's annual RUN for the WILD 5-K and Family Fun Run at the Bronx Zoo. Living in the city, it can be easy to be ambivalent to environmental issues outside our direct view, but take this into account: Whole species of wildlife are currently facing extinction, and at a faster rate than ever before. From elephants, gorillas, and lions, to sharks, turtles, and flamingos, many animals are at risk of being gone forever.

RUN for the WILD is a reminder that sustainability is about more than designing efficient architecture—it is about the preservation and protection of nature, wildlife, and the environment. The event is a unique blend of family fun and fundraising in support of the Wildlife Conservation Society's efforts to protect both wildlife and the wild places in which they live. Participants are encouraged to attend costumed as their favorite animals (we do!), stay for a host of post-run activities, and spend the rest of the day exploring the Bronx Zoo, the world's largest urban zoo with over 600 species from around the world. Funds raised by RUN for the WILD go directly towards supporting the Wildlife Conservation Society's efforts on the ground.

This is our 7th year participating in the RUN for the WILD and we hope you consider joining the FXFOWLE team or making a charitable donation.
