When Drawings Talk

Carol Hsiung
Drawing is a skill that can please the eye–a celebration of beauty. My inspiration to draw is more than to share beauty, but to convey meaning.

Meaning can be expressed as an emotion, a feeling, a mood...

...as ideas and concepts...

...and as stories.

Architectural documents contain vital information but are void of meaning, which is why sketches, illustrations, diagrams and renderings are so important to the design process. They induce feelings and connections that can touch the human spirit, and provide a shared vision that elevates the design.

Here are some wonderful examples from my colleagues of drawings that "talk".
