Last weekend, interior designer
Justyna Mrowiec-Chun and I were fortunate to go to the annual International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. As designers, it's always exciting to see the latest in interior design, and while everything we saw was beautiful, below were our top 20 picks.
Cycloc is a great and efficient way to store bicycles either at home or at the office. These designs are clean and colorful.
Urbio is an amazing wall organization/decoration system. The magnetic, modular square panels are easily attached to the wall and from there you can add an array of different containers for storage or planters.
Hurbz is a young French company that encourages people to grow their own food. They provide the seeds as well as the beautiful planters.

Both of these products help bring nature indoors.
Polarmoss utilizes naturally grown reindeer moss to create texture for interior spaces and will last about 10-15 years.
Flowerbox produces preserved green walls that combine moss and plants and will last for about five years. Neither product requires water or light.
Plyboo Reveal is a wall panel product designed by Robin Reigi. The panels are carved to reveal the beautiful layers below.
QUOCKTWO is a new way to look at time. Instead of a digital or analog display of the time, this clock describes time in words.

Karim Rashid stopped by to showcase his new designs for A Lot Of, a Brazilian furniture company.
Wilsonart challenged students from the University of Houston to design iconic chairs using Wilsonart Laminate.

These giant faux stone stools were produced by
Atelier Vierkant, who won the Design Award for Best Outdoor Furniture at ICFF.
Bend is a young furniture company based in LA. These fun tables and chairs are designed for interior and exterior spaces, and each product is meticulously handcrafted from iron.
Iglooplay is a Brooklyn-based company that designs children's furniture. The designs responds to the idea that child development flourishes from contact with sculptural forms, material variation and color.

The stools in the center are the Broom 30 Barstool designed as a collaboration between
Emeco and Philippe Starck. The chair is made from 75% waste polypropylene and 15% reclaimed wood.

NYC-based furniture and lighting company
Matter displayed their new line, Matter-Made.
MetaProject is a collaboration between design students at RIT and Herman Miller. In the fall of 2013, industrial design students were asked to address one of the following workplace interactions through furniture: face-to-face, digitally-mediated or human-to-tools.
Loop de Loop is a fun line of chairs and ottomans designed by KPF's William Pedersen.

Even though these were at ICFF last year, they are still one of my 2014 favorites.
Molo designs lighting, furniture and screens made of paper.

These
Beach Ball Lights are exactly what they appear to be – inflatable beach balls with an integrated LED light.
STICKBULB is a NYC based company that uses reclaimed and sustainably sourced wood with LED lighting to produce these beautiful, customizable fixtures.
Graypants is a Seattle-based company that produces lighting from what most people would consider scrap. These lights are made from repurposed cardboard with a glass lens and steel frame.

And last but not least, something for the New Yorkers who want dogs but don't have the time or space.
