FXWomxn
As FXWomen continues to look for more opportunities to be more inclusive, the committee of FXCollaborative's womxn-focused employee resource group has changed its name to FXWomxn.
From Dictionary.com:
Dictionary.com, which added womxn and 300 other words to its dictionary in 2019, defines womxn as "a woman (used, especially in intersectional feminism, as an alternative spelling to avoid the suggestion of sexism perceived in the sequences m-a-n and m-e-n, and to be inclusive of trans and nonbinary women)"
This change will ensure that all womxn, including transgender and non-binary persons, feel represented by the group. Transgender women are women, and non-binary persons should be a part of every conversation.
FXWomxn supports professional growth, leadership development, and the design expertise of womxn. FWomxn promotes the voices and perspectives of womxn within the firm by encouraging an inclusive environment, organizing skill development workshops/training and professional growth–oriented events, and sustaining a healthy work/life balance.
